HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM RANGE HOODS

Installing a range hood begins with assembling the frame. Once assembled, attach the frame to the wall and then continue by attaching the curved front and side panel arches. For ease of mind, use a few screws and metal straps to securely fasten your range hood to the wall. Custom installation instructions will be included to ensure a quick and easy install.

How long does it take to get my Alove range hood?

Before we begin building your alcove range hood, we will first email you 3D CAD approval drawings (design lead times vary based on workload; inquire with our sales team to get an accurate design lead time). Once you approve the drawings, typical lead times are 12 to 14 business days, plus a few additional days for shipping. Normally, the whole process can take anywhere from 2 1/2 to a little over 3 weeks, depending on how quickly you approve the drawings and/or if any revisions are needed to your drawings.

How do you ship my Alcove range hood?

Most of our kitchen range hood frames ship flat packed in 2-3 boxes via FedEx Ground. But depending upon the size of your kitchen range hood and/or the size of your order, it may need to ship via TForce Freight. If you’d like to know before you order, call us and we’ll let you know.

How do you drywall a Alcove range hood?

Drywalling a kitchen range hood is comprised of measuring the curvature of the front slope, cutting the drywall to the curvature, forming and fastening in place. You can also watch a tutorial on how to install, drywall, and finish one of our Tuscan Range Hoods (while not your style, still a great video) on YouTube.

QUICK TIPS

Wetting the back of the drywall (as shown in the video) will make the drywall easier to bend.
For tighter radius range hoods, consider using a double layer of either ¼” or ¼” flex drywall.
