An architectural dome will spice up your ceiling

Jazz Up Your Home with an Architectural Dome

Are you tired of boring old flat ceilings? Well, we certainly don’t blame you. If you’re a fan of architecture or even just things that look nice, an architectural dome is exactly what your ceilings need. If you look at the most famous architectural works of art that were erected throughout history, you’ll notice that the majority of them include domes.

Why? Because it’s the ultimate break from the norm. That’s right; the norm is a flat, uninteresting ceiling, and an architectural dome is the complete polar opposite. So, enough convincing. Time to get down to the nitty-gritty. Time to take a look at some examples of the awesomeness that will come from installing a simple half-circle in your ceiling.

As you were reading this, you were thinking about the ceiling in your kitchen, weren’t you? It’s okay, you can admit it. The kitchen is actually one of the most popular places for an architectural dome installation because it’s a room that gets a lot of attention. Have you ever noticed how people always seem to gravitate toward the kitchen at a party? Well, just imagine your kitchen looked like the one here. Not only would your guests have an instant conversation piece, but they would have something pretty to feast their eyes on while they nosh on your yummy hors d’oeuvres. This example isn’t just any old dome, either. It’s set in two layers of molding and surrounded by recessed lighting. It even has an artistic finish inside the dome to draw more attention.

But the kitchen isn’t the only room that’s calling out for an architectural dome. Entryways are also very popular locations. As you can see, it works really well here because the dome takes up much of the ceiling space. The one here is illuminated by a light ring, surrounded by recessed lighting and holds a chandelier. This space that was otherwise dark is now filled with light – and a stunning architectural dome.

By now, you’re probably wondering how it all happens. You’re probably thinking that the project would be a huge and expensive undertaking. Wrong. With our architectural dome kits, it’s a lot more affordable than you might think. And, it’s super easy to install. Even homeowners looking for DIY projects can handle this one. So can you.
