This week, we’re on a mission, and we’re hoping you could help. Our goal is to inspire homeowners, builders and designers across the country to create better home ceilings. Much like us, you’re probably tired of seeing the standard straight-sided room with the occasional skylight added for interest.
What a snooze-fest. Apparently, not enough people know how easy and inexpensive it can be to add better ceilings and improve the value and aesthetic appeal of the home. So, let’s change some minds.

A Stunning Ceiling for a Regal Master Bath Room
If you want to instantly boost the importance of a room, add a groin vault. It’s that simple. There’s nothing fancy about this one; it’s your everyday run-of-the-mill groin vault, but it makes a huge statement. Is it boring? Heck, no. All home ceilings should be this lucky.
Combine Ceiling Types for the Greatest Impact
The most spectacular homes we’ve ever visited (and had a hand in building) are the ones that artfully combine different types of ceilings. It just goes to show that home ceilings don’t all have to be the same. Check out this space and you’ll notice the coffered ceiling first, but look a little longer and you see the groin vaults that line the hallway. There is some impressive workmanship here and it shows.
An Unusual Ceiling for a Special Space
As you can see from this design, we’re working with a small space, but that doesn’t mean it can’t stand out from the rest of the room. The light simply bounces off of this copper-lined barrel ceiling, giving the illusion of more space than what is actually there. You see, home ceilings can be extremely diverse.
