We have the ability to prefabricate any custom ceiling kit you could imagine. To get started, we simply need a few measurements along with a picture, drawing, or sketch of what you have in mind. From here, we’ll take your measurements and create a 3D illustration for your approval. So, send us those doodles on your morning coffee napkin, and let’s see if we can’t build you a custom ceiling kit.
Since we’ll be making you a one-of-a-kind custom ceiling kit, we’ll be sure to give you an installation drawing that will allow you to quickly and easily install your custom ceiling kit.
Drywalling a custom ceiling kit will entail the same steps you’d use in drywalling any other ceiling. The process is comprised of measuring the curvature of the components, cutting the drywall to the curvature and depth, forming and fastening in place.
Drywall, plaster, wood veneer, brick veneer, trim, tile … the list is seemingly endless. Whether you want your custom ceiling to have a simple or an ornate finish, the choice is yours.
|Material||Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF)(High Grade Moisture Resistant)|
|Thickness (in.)||1” – 1 ½” (depending on width)|
|Depth (in.)||Variable based on design|
The height of your custom ceiling is the total amount of height you’ll need in-the-clear. So with this in mind, how much height would you comfortably forgo to achieve your custom ceiling design? An easy way to determine this, is to make a mark on the side of the wall at the lowest point you’d still be comfortable. The distance from the ceiling to the mark on your wall would be your height. Since the design from your picture, drawing or sketch will ultimately determine the height, this will temporarily act as the maximum height limitation when designing your custom ceiling kit.
Depending upon the size of your custom ceiling and/or the size of your total order, it will either ship in boxes via UPS Ground or on a pallet via LTL common carrier. If you’d like to know how it will ship before placing your order, simply call us and we’ll let you know.
“There has never been a design by any of our architects that Archways & Ceilings has not been able to manufacture. Once you have used Archways & Ceilings, you will never want to do the arches and ceilings any other way.”
